The mangrove boardwalk is considered one of the highlights of our resort. Stretching through the lush mangrove forest, the walkway is surrounded by a rich variety of mangrove species. Guests can enjoy a relaxing stroll, breathe in the fresh air, or simply take in the beauty of the sunset at the end of the boardwalk.

At Banpu Resort Trat, we have a beautiful mangrove boardwalk where you can stroll, take photos, enjoy the rich nature, breathe in fresh ozone air, and even help the planet by planting mangroves.
Notes: Mangroves produce seedlings throughout the year, but in cycles. You can check with us in advance to see if they are available.

Mangrove Planting in Just 2 Simple Steps
Step 1: Find a mangrove seedling
The mangrove forest is home to many species, but the most well-known is the Rhizophora (commonly called “kongkang”). Their seedlings are long, straight pods that you’ll see scattered along the boardwalk. There are two types — large-leaf and small-leaf — and the seed size matches the leaf size.
Step 2: Drop the seedling into the mud
Once you have a seedling, find an open patch of mud and gently drop it in. This mimics the natural process: when the seed is fully mature, it falls and sticks into the mud on its own, beginning its journey to grow into a baby mangrove tree.
